I’m real. I’m genuine. I’m not a robot or a blank slate.
My job is not to tell you what to do. I believe that every person has the right to make their own decisions, and they’re also entitled to change their mind.
I aim to be authentic with my thoughts and feelings, and let my inside and outside be in harmony. I bring myself wholly to my work. I believe that this facilitates trust and a genuine connection with my clients.
I am realistic in my approach. I believe we need to work with what we’ve got in life, instead of what is deemed to be ideal or “perfect”. Perfection is overrated anyway. It is my philosophy that the behaviours we adapt are coping mechanisms to survive an imperfect world, and I therefore will not blame and shame my clients. Non-judgement and empathy is key to my approach.
I don’t expect people to behave like Buddhist monks or achieve a state of self-actualisation. I’m much more interested in what it’s like to be a human in a world that’s evolving faster than we are.
